About the Study Medication

What is the study medication?

There are 2 study drugs used during the GPC-100-001 study. One is an approved blood pressure medication called propranolol. This study will examine whether it can improve stem cell number and quality. The other study drug is called GPC-100. It may help release stem cells from the bone marrow, which could potentially speed up stem cell collection. You will receive regular oral doses of propranolol, along with up to 5 IV infusions of GPC-100. Participants in the study will either receive GPC-100 in combination with propranolol or GPC-100 in combination with propranolol and G-CSF. G-CSF is the current standard of care.

Will I receive the study medication?

Yes, all participants of this study will either receive GPC-100 in combination with propranolol or GPC-100 in combination with propranolol and G-CSF.

What is an "investigational medicine"?

Investigational means the study medication is not approved by regulatory authorities like the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and it can only be used in clinical research studies like GPC-100-001.
